Ok first off I want to thank whomever looks into my request for help!!!!!, I am from Houston Tx and my project started out on tap water and my hybrids thrived in it. Here about two weeks ago I moved to Iowa city IA, and now I'm setup on well water and the well hasnt been used correctly in some years. I got it all lined out and my breeding setups up and running and just had my first spawn about a week ago in one breeding tank. Now let me get down to my question I need to know what to look for in well water. I have hybrids that were injured on the move and some of them are not pulling out so well, seems like the water has heavy metals or more of certain things tap water does not. I just want to know whats the pro's an cons or something buddies. I will say that I have one hybrid that was injured so badly on the move she almost lost her tail fin and it devloped these white bumps all over the infected area so I steped up the water changes. So far she isn't getting better and these bumps have covered her body and have grown in size from a white spot (not ick by any means) to a large bump that looks like her scales are being ate away like a damn parasite or something. Man its really got me bummed, For once in my entire project I cant get control of this. Right now I have her in a 29 gallon tank solo no chemicals other additives, just filter media, gravel and tap water conditioner. she is about 10'' long and was a damn good breeder untill this (whatever it is) took its toll on her but she's still tiring to pull threw it . I am not giving up on her but I need some help I will be glad to talk on the phone and or text. I am getting my water test next week but in the mean time I need to be schooled on well water and possibly whats growing or eating on my hybrids. I greatly appericate anyones time my numbers 2-eight-1-eight-6-five-6-seven-3-six......please help... or copy and paste any info something.....I'm not much for giving up when things are rough......
