Considering Red Texas' are pretty much a flowerhorn(some may or may not disagree),do they require the same things in the aquarium such as a certain background color or gravel color to make their colors come out more? Thanks...

SRT is not a flowerhorn no matter if people agree or disagree... Its a fact. They are faders so a black background and black gravel works best. Mine LOVES black sand.
