Red Texas x Flowerhorn Breeding

Had these two together for a few days, but the female laid eggs today on her side of the divider with filters on. Took out the divider and they started to fight so I place the divider back in rotated the eggs to the males side.... let see what happens ...

took the pair out and place them in a 55g divided. added methylene blue for the eggs only a few have turned white.

You will know soon if they are fertile or not. But from what you've described I wouldn't count on the male doin his job without them being a bonded pair. I hope I'm wrong. Good luck, keep us posted

As more and more of the eggs began to turn white my hopes faded... I actually gave up on it, but left it as is... Today when I checked it in the evening at a glance I thought it was all over....Then I took a very very close look and there they were 4 FRY wiggling!!! Now I know my Male Flowerhorn(whatever breed he is) is FERTILE and so is the female(a given). Next time I will be home to release them together

Flowerhorn x red Texas 5-17-2017. Day 2 after hatching. I saw 5 yesterday now I only see 2 in the clay pot base... can't find the others lol. Check channel
