Red Texas

After quite a few failed attempts with ebjd, im about ready to pack it in on that, for now.

I was curious, how hearty are the Red Texas? They look pretty sharp. How many could i keep in a 55 gallon that has a Pictus and a Pleco and a couple of clown loaches?

Is say 2 probably probably kill your other fish

Red texas are cichlid tough, thats the good news. They are extemely territorial and have to be kept solo, thats the bad news.

In a larger tank you might get away with a pleco, providing theres lots of hiding spots for it imo.

the pictus has had good luck with a dempsey and an oscar, so im sure he will be go. the pleco is nothing special but i do like the loaches. i think all i really want is one

its that or get another jack. the ebjd just has me way to burnt out at the moment.
