Hi I'm trying to get a RT from a Red devil and a Texas. I know that its not going to be easy and I believe I've done enough research to give it a try. I have a 6-7 inch male Red devil and a 4 inch female Texas. When I first introduced them in my 55g they seemed to hit it off. The female Texas turned really dark underneath and showed markings that from research I did indicates breeding. They followed each other around for a few days with the female still in breeding dress. Then all of a sudden she's no longer in breeding dress and there is no aggression but they seem to have lost interest. I guess my question is WHAT HAPPENED?? I thought I was on the fast track to Some fry. Any thoughts ??

That can't be the female on the left. That fish is like 3 inches lol
Yes that's her(shamed) lol.. I know she's small but all the research I've done say they breed at 3-4 inch range. But at this size the amount of eggs will be limited... I'm not trying to rush it just looked so promising at first

Ur best bet is a male texas and a female fader fish imo blood parrot. A red texas has three genetics in it including vieja.
