i was at a lfs today and noticed they had some indo dats.. but they had a redish tint on them. the tank read "red tiger dat".. is there any differnce from the golden tigers? do they grow up to be the same or is there a differnce between a red and gold?

so i guess those indos are just regular golden tigers?

Indos are dats. Golden tiger is just a generic term that petstores like to use.

as far as i know they are called mangrove jacks they get massive and need salt water when they get bigger

im not 100% sure about the salt water

You're spot on. With very few exceptions, mangrove jacks are mid-brackish to marine as juvies (but, can tolerate near-fresh to fresh for short durations) and marine as adults.

Awesome fish, but tough requirements.
