I will be looking for a pair of these guys in the next few weeks/months. I was wondering if the all knowing masses could help me out with some general information. If all goes as planned they will be going into a 150 gallon tank (60x24x24). They will be the only two fish in the tank (maybe some dithers). Filtration will be an fx5 with like two or three ac110s. While doing my search I ran across some other variants of the mota fam and wouldnt mind more info on them as well. Thanks in advance.

have you tried the search function?
there are TONS of people on here who have RTMs and have posted their information about them.
not trying to be mean but it's the truth. if you look a couple of threads down there are a few as it is.
what general info do you want? size? temperament, food? they are just like any other CA cichlid to be honest.
all the best.

Ill just continue to search through the thousands of bs threads, and stop asking questions. Thanks again for all your help. I thought this was a forum and not a book where you just use the glossary and index to find things.

:screwy:
just throwing out that search forum idea out there. if you aren't inclined to use it just sit back and wait for responses to roll in then. you have no business being impatient or sarcastic to anyone.

there's also this thing called the internet and google if you are so brave to try as well. one search on there would have produced more information than all the 'bs threads' on MFK combined.

and thank you cichlidinsomniac for helping our friend out and showing him how it's done. ;)

maybe you should learn to read a glossary.

You wouldn't have to search thru the "BS" threads if you spent less time pouting and more time listen to some advice from members.... this is a forum, use it was you will..... don't expect everyone to hold your hand. Check the attitude dude.

umm....a pair will be fine in a 150.....but there is a lot of useful info aslready out there as this topic has already been covered several times.....i learned this awile ago...its no dis on u....or laziness on our part....its just easier for both

First and foremost, I used the search, to find threads of people looking for them, others of just pictures, and none of general specs size etc. I am sorry I didnt not trust the lies of google, thats why I came here to ask you guys and get the opinions of a collective group, I consulted you all to get this right, and not have regrets later because I trusted some website that says a sailfin pleco gets to be 10". With all the bs on the internet I tried to ask the people who keep and love these fish, but no I get told to use the search because some of you would rather hate than help. To the guy who left the link thanks, you were helpful to the others your opinions are not needed. I want you all to use the search and find a worthwhile thread that gives specific information on red tigers and then tell me to do it, period.
