How big do they get. How much are they. How big of a tank do they need.

Males max out at around 12in. They are one of the smaller guapotes and pretty aggressive. You can have a pair in a 90g but them alone with no tankmates. You can get a small pair for about 60-80 bucks maybe cheaper.

They're gorgeous fish....just treat them like adolescent jags. I never see them in LFS around me.

males get around 12 inchs , females around 8 ,9 inchs.. a 75 gal 90 gal would be the smallest sized tank for them due to aggression...and if your looking for some try tangled in cichlids, jeff rapps, not sure if he still has them in stock but thats were i got mine...

Don't put a pair in your 55. I know that you are still trying to stock your tank but I wouldn't house a pair of RTM in it.
