nice how big is your tank ? and make sure you have hiding spots for the female to get to cuz the male can be relentless and kill your female..

Right now she's in a 100gal got lots of hiding spots its funny when I got her a guy just brought her back to the lfs because she killed the male she was breeding with lol

That's a beautiful female you got there. With my old pair my female was the aggressor of the two even though she was 2-3 inches smaller. Luckily the male was big enough to take the damage and handle her or else it would've been bad. Good luck with the new male and take some pics.

the male was prob smaller..but trust me a male rtm is one mean mutha.. me and my bro used to breed them.. and sell them to local fish shops

they prob will kill the other fish if they pair up ..use a divider first to let them get use to each other and do a couple water changes and they should be good to go if the male is the same size or larger
