Do male red tiger motas and male normal motas (is there even a difference) look the same? I love the look of male RTM's with the greenish sheen...

Thanks
Mike

theirs only one...the RTM

To me, they look the same, but with the RTM males having more intense reds and coloring. The normal mota males look more plain and less attractive, but either way, both are still great fish.

The red tiger mota is a color varient of the normal Parachromis motaguense. I believe that the male RTM's look slightly different from the normal mota's, but they generally do not show as much red as female RTM's.

well its really just wether its the lighter or darker of the red on them that differentiate them both...

As stated, there are 2 different variants of the same species....gold and red. They are not slightly different, they are worlds apart color-wise. My 11" gold is green-ish gold with some orange in the face. Look at adult rtm, they are a vibrant red.

Alright, I don't know if any of you have seen my other thread about ordering fish through a retailer that my work (I work at an LFS) deals with but how many should I order so that I get a male?
3 will pretty much guarantee it.
