I have a RTM about 2" or more. I have more at 1" but they are just killers. You can put a spawn together and eventually they will systematically kill the smaller ones. This is why its so hard to find and get RTMs.
 
I wish my avatar name was as cool as that, I am a bottom dwelling redclaw crab.those are bad ass rtms in that pic too.So are you selling the fry off those? didnt quite get your point about putting a spawn together, you mean a spawn with adults or putting small fish like yours with bigger fish?my male at first was way territorial and wore out a bigger managuense, now there in a 100g. and I put smaller jds in there and no problem, just gotta keep em busy so he cant single out any one victim.do they get that red only when breeding cause my male only has a few red dots and is mostly goldish green with bluish color coming in on gill plates. he is 3.5".
 
Well, meaning a batch of frys will kill each other off. I have 200+ eggs every month. At 1" theres only 20-30 left.

And no not from disease...you can literally see the caudal fins chewed up as the young frys slowly die.
