How come all the best looking mbuna are so darn agressive? That guy is stunning and I bet a real hell raiser.
Lol, I've had him a couple years now. He is aggressive but he doesn't pursue the fish like an Auratus or Johanni would do. He chases them from his territory and then leaves them alone. I find once mbuna like him establish themselves they become more tolerant of their tankmates but they can be super aggressive during that phase.
Nice looking Mbuna I do like all the Metriclima species but with most you can get Mcat males which carry the OB gene.
True...if you don't now the lineage. Most Metriaclima are crosses if purchased at large chain stores...need the specialty shops to get the real thing.

Definitely will. In Canada we have very little in regards to quality cichlids...normally order from the states and have them shipped to the border.
