Red Top Zebras

I was given some Red Top zebras two years ago.. I saw the dad and he had a full red top. His sons do not and I was wondering if may food might be a reason.. I feed them Hikari gold and spirulina flakes.. His brothers are not this light in color as he is the alfa male. Here is the alfa male:

Um are you sure that is an red top Zebra? I see maybe a Metriaclima greshakei... (And yes greshakei have different amounts of red depending on the fish, and yes a varied diet gives the best color.)

I had a bunch given to me.. I saw the dad of these and he had a total red top.. NOT like the greshakei at all, but differenet. they go light blue at adult and the redness in the top fin does move up more.. I can't find any like these, just wondering if any one has ever seen some like the ones I have. . Neat looking and a Zebra for sure, but maybe mixed with another Zebra down the lines. shame that.. My females are a dull brownish and spit out fry a lot.. O well.
