Red Torpedo Barb with a Ruby Shark?

Hi

I would like to buy a torpedo barb cos they look amazing. But would it be compatible with my current stock list? So far I have a peaceful tank with all fish as pals:

3 x albino corys, 1 x ruby shark, 1 x siamese sucking loach, 1 x angelfish, 2 x rainbow fish, 4 x gouramis

Are the torpedos ok on their own or in shoals?

Sounds like it should be fine. I have seen people keeping them with gouramis so I guess fin nipping doesn't seem to be a problem. They also seem to do just fine alone but thrive in schools. they are excellent at eating hair algae from what I have heard.

Do a google search for Puntius denisonii, should turn up some better info.

They should be fine with your current stocklist. I would get a small school of say at least 4 fish, they look and act better when kept with others of their own kind IMO. They are definitely an awesome fish, I wouldn't mind getting some myself.
