So im going to throw somethign paculiar at you guys and hopefully we can sort this out. last night i found two odd worms on the glass of my tank. they are round worms of some sort. red tint, hair thin, and build tunnels along the glass with sand. its unlike anythign i have seen or heard of ebfore. I have begun noticing them on the rocks in my tank as well. no free swimming/ floating specimens yet...i think. They seem to be feeding on waste off the bottom. Now a few things to keep in mind, i did just add some new fish to the tank. i also had all my cleaner fish eaten by the new fish ( i was using goldfish) and we did jsut have a warm spurt in maine and i have a large open topped tank. From what i can tell they aren't Camallanus as none of my fish so any exhaust vent bugs.
The worms are:
3-7mm long
>1mm wide
red
pulsating
building tubes
not free swimming
possibly detrius feeders?
idk again im stumped. any ideas?
