More agro from the red, very different shape, try google image search for each, you'll soon see the big difference.

Which if the 2 often reffered to as RT do you mean?

I didnt know there was more than 1 kind of RT. Ive got a GT but never kept a Red, I was undsr the impression that they are bigger and more agressive than GT's. I like mt GT but Im a little dissapointed with his rate of growth. Any info you can give me on RT's would be great. Sure I can just google them but you know how that is, you get different info everywhere you go. I trust the experience and information of the members here more than a google search:)

Can you guys educate me on the differences besides the obvious coloring?

Red terrors, are in general a much large growing fish. male rt's can hit 15-16", rumored as big as 20". Rt's are not realted to Gt's except that there cichlids, Red terrors are amphilophus, Gt's are Aequidens- the biggest male gt's i've seen were wild caught at around 12-13", in capitity nothing over 10" ish, females around 8". nethier are known for fast growth rates.

Yea I was going to say it's kind of an Apple and Oranges type thing. They are very diffrent in all aspects.

Both the GT and RT are slow growers.

RTs are bigger and more aggressive on the whole

as of for the "2" RTs im thinking
1 = Amphilophus festae "TRUE" Red Terror
2 = Cichlasoma uropthalmus [URO] "FALSE" Red Terror

My GT seems to be stuck at 3 inches or so, not sure if he is just growing at a snail's pace, or if he has been completly stunted as he is nowhere near the dominant fish in the community.

Well they are cichlids, but as you can see, the festae is from the genus Amphilophus (red devil, trimac, etc.) while the green terror belongs to the genus Aequidens (all the acaras).

The only thing that both resemble is that their aquarium name has terror in it.

Red terrors are waaaaay more aggressive. And you have seen the differences. Also the festaes get much bigger.

In general it is true that rt's are more aggressive, but I did not experience this. My 10-11 inch male GT was far more aggressive than my 11 inch female RT.
