Red W0lf that wouldn't eat. HELP!!!!

Hey guys I just got a 6 inch red wolf fish 4 days ago and it wouldn't eat. Even if if i put a piece of raw shrimp right in front of his eyes, he would ignor it until I give up. I decided to put the piece of shrimp in the tank just in case he wanted to eat at night. The next morning the shimp, untouched was still there. I heard that wolves are very unpicky eaters. My wolf seem very health, good plump stomach, nice fins. The only prob is that it won't each.
Any resons why thanks.

PS. This might seem cruel but I currently have no choice but to keep my wolf in a 10 gallon thank because my bichirs are sick and I don't want to contaminate the wolf.

Well being in a 10 gallon would suck if i was a wolf. It may take days if not a few weeks before a wolf eats. My newest wolf ate after one day, and one of my old wolfs finally ate after being in the take for 2 weeks. Try a live food like nightcrawlers not feeder fish

They can take a while to eat after you first get them. I'm curious though, is the 10g even cycled, this could play a big part as well.

get a few minnows and ghost shrimp.

My erythrinus took 2 weeks before it ate. Then it ate very well.

In such a small tank I would check water peram's as it's a big fish in a small body of water.
