Red wart on fins!?

Hey idk if this has been previously posted, but my JD developed what seems to be a red wart on his left fin.

I thought if I just waited and did a couple water changes, that it would maybe go away but it has gotten a little bigger.

The sore/wart isn't affecting his behavior, at least it seems like its not.

Does anybody know if this is harmful? Contagious? How do I get rid of it?
