Red Whale Catfish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
lol, that's what I'm looking at, but it doesn't give much info. I didn't even know there was a Red color morph. I can't find any info on it besides the little bit of info given. And it its the same as the Blue Whale Catfish, then it doesn't max out at 6 inches. Can anyone find any other photos of this species? Other info?

Run you fools! :P

Any of the Cetopsis family are nasty, horrible bitey monsters lol. Just look up the family on Planet Catfish. I know from personal experience with several species that they are not fish safe for long...everything gets chewed on.

Now in a tank by themselves, awesome fish...I used to throw big dead Oranda goldfish in with 20 of them and watch them strip all the edible parts off the bones...

Really? Wow, never new of that. lol, I was going to put one in my 60-Gallon. Thanks for that info! Still sounds like it would be a cool fish to keep in a tank by itself...
