im trying to find good live "treats" so to speak to feed my fish. would red wigglers nightcrawlers and mealworms all be beneficial for my fish or some more than others? i know you experts know alot about feeding carnivores and i am trying to fatten them up! let me know what kinds of foods/tactics you use to feed your monsters! thanks :headbang2

Really the best foods to fatten them up is the commercial foods. I think certain live foods will bring out colors in some fish.

Nightcrawlers are fine for a treat and the fish will love them. Mealworms and crickets are also good. If you really want to have fun with the live food, if your fish is big enough, get a crayfish for them.

Agreed with above, the best 'fatten up your fish' food would be pellets, like Massivores. BUT if your fish won't eat pellets, then nightcrawlers and the like are great, no parasites and disease, and they move when they hit the water-triggering the response to feed. (my Bowfin loves them!)

im trying to get a picky raphael to eat and he doesnt seem to like anything yet so i am going to try some worms, hopefully he wont be able to resist them!
