Short and sweet, can you keep a group of any Erythrinus, wolf fish together. They are smaller by a long shot and less aggressive than your typical Hoplias, so I'm curious. I see tanks of common wolf fish together, but I wanted to ask. I'm considering breaking down my African setup.

it's possible if you get babies (2 to 4 inchers) and grow them out together. It also depends on the size of tank and personality of the wolf. I would do a 75 gallon with 3 wolves.

I think you can I'm keeping a mala with my curupira and so far no problems

it's not going to end up great just sayin. They will definitely compete for territory. But it's your choice at the end.

It's usually the erythrinus and the hoplerythrinus species that can be cohabed together. Hoplias usually fight to the death. Just as a friendly reminder.

Ok, Aquascape wise, They prefer wood, plants? rocks? sand? gravel? I've got everything just need to dig in my fish chest that my wife makes me hide in the attic lol.

I put 2x 2" in a 55g with lots of plants and they didn't last 15min together. Neither one tried to hide, they just circled eachother and ripped eachother apart. Another member on here keeps his Sp. Peru together without issues and they are big. I don't know if I just happened to get the nastiest 2 in the batch or what, but it certainly didn't work for me. I separated them and kept the more beat up one, and sold the other.
If you're going to do it, I'd make sure to have a backup plan just in case.

I expected the curupira to kill the mala but it looks like he doesn't care that much bout him they are like same size so just wanted to give it a shot the but yeah you gotta provide lots of hiding spots I like Drift wood the best and they look the best the funny thing is that my pleco kicks the curus ass
