So I just found my 4 inch red wolf fish on the floor, and for all I know he could have been out for about an hour. He is breathing and acting somewhat normal. Of course he is a little stressed looking but thats it. I could feel some slime coat come off on my hands etc. Just want to make sure there arent any safety measures I should be taking. Thanks in advance, just dont want him to die tonight.

If you have any stress coat, put some in the tank. May help, may not. It won't harm him for sure.
I have no experience with these fish whats so ever. But I noticed you said he was breathing hard it might be a good idea to put a airstone in to help keep the water rich with oxygen. I have had a couple fish jump out on me the only time they have every died was when I didn't get to them in time. Meaning they died on the floor. If I got them in the water they were always fine.
Yeah a month ago my bichir pushes through a plastic cover i had on my tank and scurried across half my house before dying, this all happaned at night so i couldnt do anything but i was very sad in the morning
