Where Palm Trees Grow
Hey guys, I've got 13 2-3" Geophagus in my 55g right now, I will be thinning them out as they grow but for now they are all staying. I've been wanting a Red Wolf for a while now and I wasn't sure if this community setup would work with one. The species of Geophagus I have max out at around 6-7" so I was thinking I could wait until they get a bit bigger and then add a Red Wolf. Let me know what you guys think. :D

Generally the wolf would ignore them as long as there is space to call home. Your limitation will be ground space. How many geo's are we talking about.
Sorry for the late reply, Anyway I have 13 of them now, But I'll thin them out to probably 5-6.

depends on the species of Geo. Hecklii, for instance, are small but are very territorial. the large guys are usually easier going but probably not suited to a smaller tank. Having said that, i think you'll probably find that they'll be fine together as long as the wolf is not bigger than the geos.

That's exactly what I was thinking, I have Geophagus Tapajos which max out at 6". So if I bought a smaller wolf then I think it would be fine.

I would hope your gonna upgrade to a larger tank because the wolf will be packed in there with the geos and the wolf will have a field day
