Red wolfs and hujeta/rocket gars

I haven't tried it, but it should work. You have a generally peaceful surface dweller and a generally peaceful bottom level fish who are compatible in size and like the same water conditions. Granted, it always depends on the personality of the individual fish (while most red wolves are sociable, a select few can be vicious), but on the whole there's no reason that this shouldn't work. If I were doing a red wolf tank, I would have no hesitation about putting a hujeta or school of hujetas with it.

It would probally work since the wolf dwells at the bottom while the rocket gar is a top swimmer.

I tried this before and it went ok. Just make sure the hujetas are of same size and all the fish are always fed.

As long as the wolf doesn't get hungry I think you'll probably be ok.

My wolf is more of a top dwelling fish despite where its suppose to be.

It also ate a iradescent shark that was a little bigger than it

Im going to try a bichir first and see how it goes maybe a albino they are pretty hardy and stand their ground

not sure if it matters anymore but I have had my hujeta with a red wolf for a couple weeks now and zero problems, even when my wolf is left a little hungry.

They actually chill in the same vicinity and not far from each other.
