red worm like substance on pec fin of carpintas?

he or she seemed from day one to have a little red "meaty" spot around the pectoral fin but yesterday noticed it protruding out like a piece of meat looks like raw sausage . he appears to be doing great and eating well. any ideas?

Please post water perameters ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, Ph and hardness. What are the tank mates? Do you have a hospital tank? I will give a recomendation based on your answers.
