Has anyone here raised their own earthworms for fish food? I just got a pound of red wrigglers through fed ex from vermico, and am going to give it a try. My aro and oscars eat fishing worms like candy, so I am hoping they will like these guys too. Anyone with any experience in raising worms?
I have never done it, but I'm looking to do the same!! My fish just love them
What did the worms cost you? I have been tenatively shopping around for a good deal
Nice!! Welcome bro!! Vermico i believe sells worm breedin kits and all...but its pretty pricy!! Almost $2000 or sumptin like that. Its pretty kewl though. Definately worth it though if you breed your own fish. And you can make a hefty profit offa the highly fertile droppings!!
That for like 1000 worms, a NICE tank/tray system thingy thats specially made for breedin them, and various other supplies. Its really kewl. They say you practically make all ur money back in two months of gettin them.....and then seriously make some boco bucks in the months that come. Great personal business. Some peeps quit their regular job and just expand and grow worms. Recycle centers buy them like crazy!! I think its like 1 tons of worms can decompose 5 tons of waste...don't qoute me on that though....
