Okay for almost a week my two red zebras haven't been eating. They are in a 55 gallon tank with 3 scolofi, 4 yellow labs, and another larger red zebra. They just don't want to eat. When I feed them they do sort of come to the surface and will take in the food but they just spit it back out again. I haven't noticed any strange behavior besides that. No heavy breathing. No stringy feeces. Thier bellies are still green with sprinula. Any ideas?

wow nobody can help me?

dude i had the same problem with my mbunas.. my male n female kenyi and male auratus died..they didnt eat for few days..they didnt beg for food they were just mindin their own business near rocks.. some one help plz

Im starting to think it might be bloat. Man I hat that. I have good water quality, I do 40% water chnges weekly and they eat only sprinula. What could have caused this?

Hmm..This is the only thing that I found.

Not much help but it's still something.

did it ingest gravel thats why mine stop eating

Okay now im pretty sure she has bloat but she has been hangin in there in her ten gallon for like a week. Yes! Im trying to find clout for her because I heard that will work but it might be while it being the holiday season and alot is going on. Im hoping she will make it but it dosen't look good :(

Peas are natures laxative for fish. Garlic creates an internal enviorment that parasites can't stand. If all your feeding the Zebra is Supirulina I seriously doudt it's bloat. If his belly is really swollen it could be round worm, I lost a Cobalt Zebra to round worm awhile back. If it is you can actually see them on his anus. The anus would be red with extremely small strings. If the fish hasn't eatin' in awhile and is knockin' on deaths door try Jungle parasite clear tabs w/praziquantel it might work it might not without a 100% accuratly identifying the cause - all treatments are a shot in the dark.

that's a bummer. My red zebras eat everything. They do suprisingly well with bluegill...

Bad news she just died early today :(. I feel awfull! I guese nothing to do but learn and move on.
