So I came home from work this morning and my "dominant male" albino red zebra was carrying eggs. "he" has a ton of egg spots so I thought the fish was male all along. If you couldn't tell, I'm not the most experienced fish keeper. I can run a tank well but this whole breeding thing has thrown me off. I have an extra 20g and a 10g. My fish is not very large. Is it possible it may be a male that ate eggs? It won't eAt, whereas all the others gladly indulged themselves. I guess my main question is what the heck do i do with her?

If you dont want to deal with fry, then do nothing. If you want to try your hand at raising them, I would leave the holding female in the main tank for another 2-3 weeks before moving her over to your fry tank. somewhere between the 3rd and 4th week of holding, strip the fry and put the mom back in the main. She'll probably keep hidden for a day or two, and then start eating/gorging herself. another few weeks after that, she'll probably be holding again. Feed the fry first bites and/or live baby brine shrimp for 2-3 weeks, and about then you can start weening them over to crushed flake food.

If first time holding, move her to your 20g and wait for her to spit them out in 3 weeks

Im having to move her anyway. The other fish will not leave her alone, regardless of the fact that she is the biggest in the tank. Thanks for your advice guys
