Redback angels

Thought I'd share a pic of one of six redback angels at my work.

It's just sand and driftwood in the tank, but plants are coming soon.

I'll post more pictures soon, these fish are beautiful.

They are not fully adult, I'd say they have about 30-40% of growth left.

The color is one of the last things to come in. Usually only with mature, fully acclimated fish. Its one of the most fun things about keeping wilds - the surprise as the color and irridesence slowly begin to appear.

i call these imitation altums cuz of their stripes but whats the proper name for them? do they have a blue sheen to their scales?
