I am glad you have him trained on HIKARI pellets....HIKARI is my choice of feed since the late 80's.............Try starving him for a week........Then start dropping in some frozen krill..........Once he get s the krill, stop feeding for another week.........Then drop in some Asian Supermarket shrimp....The size you are looking for is 29-34 shrimp.............

sometimes if u leave em on a food for too long they reject everything else
starve them for a few days and they should start eating the other foods you're trying to add

I will try 3 days of no feeding,it will be hard because the big lug is such a begger and is very hard to ignore him. lol but I have a huge container of dried krill that I cant wait to unload on him.

My Midas loves Omega One pellets and earthworms. He will eat Omega one Algae Wafers on occasion. He hates Hikari products; Ive tried Gold, Bio-Gold+, Sinking Carnivore, Massivore Delight. Mine also hates shrimp and krill. He will tolerate a little NLS, but its not his favorite.

dmd123.. yours sounds alot like mine very picky..anywayI failed today and gave him more pellets forgetting my plan to not feed for 3 days ,ill try again tomorrow.

LOL!!! Mine will eat anything EXCEPT Hikari pellets! He loves shrimp, krill, flakes, Spectrum New Life International (best pellet on market) pellets, and his fav now is Live crickets. I cannot bring myself to not feed him for a cpl of days to change, so I feed the Hikari (because I want him to have a very diverse diet) directly to the crickets. They love it, get fat and then get eaten!!

I also gut load night crawlers that I feed to my Midas. Not by feeding the worms anything special but by literally stuffing the worms body with peas or pellets he normally would not eat. Kind of gross but it works.
