Redearsunfish will do anything for his goldfish!!!

hahahaha I would do anything for my fish but absolutely NOT a GOLD FISH....But I do respect the gold fish owner though. :)
 
I wonder if some epsom salt in the water would have helped with the blockage at all?

I mean i read this story on the local news here a few days ago and was thinking it was quite crazy... personally, i'm not sure i would be willing to fork out that kinda money for a fish that cheap and common?

If it was a fish i had spent some serious money on (say some expensive Asian Aro) then yeah maybe, but a goldfish... sorry but no go for me...
 
A pet is a pet... If I get a full breed German Shepherd for free and it needs surgery, should I just put him to sleep and get another? Plus some gold fish don't just cost 10 cents... Some go in to the hundreds and few grand for good old bloodlines...

While i agree a pet is a pet, and i would do whatever possible and within reason to help a sick fish in my care, i just dont think i could personally justify spending that kind of money on a goldfish...

Maybe its just that i dont care enough about goldfish to be willing to go through that trouble, not to mention i doubt there are many vets in this town (if any at all) that could do surgery on a fish... Especially when you consider there is only 1 reptile vet i've heard of in all HK
 
Awesome story, I'd do the same if the fish was personable enough. I do hate how the writer claims that it's impossible to forum strong bonds with fish though, some of my fish will beg for food for me and only me because they recognize me, some also let me pet them.
