My 125 gallon setup had all natural pebble stones. Was going with the lake look.

My Red Tail Cat ate all my fish and decided lemme start over.

I still have my RTC which im selling in the Buy and Sell section.

I emptied all my gravel. Gave the tank a nice cleaning.

Bout 60lbs of Fine White Sand, and 60lbs of Black Sand and made a nice mix. Gave me a good 2" bed.

Put a solid black background which goes well with the color scheme

I have 2 or 3 nice sized pieces of driftwood in there at the moment.

A couple of pieces of coral.

Now. As soon as i get rid of my RTC...i cant decide what kind of fish i want?

Ive always had Central American cichlids and fish of that nature but think its time for a change

Never had Rays before. They seem appealing. But I hear they are alot of work and can get expensive.

African Cichlids are another cosideration.

Ill even take decorative design.

IDEAS PEOPLE!!

Go with some Siamese Tigerfish or maybe do a puffer tank. I have only had rays a couple times and they were farily easy to keep as long as I kept a regular tank maintenance schedule.

I have seen puffers mixed in with African Cichlids, Giant Danios, and other fast moving fish that they couldnt catch. I have never seen a community of puffers so I am not sure if it is doable or not.

can u mix those siamese tigerfish with rays? are they aggressive?

they look sweet. you have a link where i can get some of those tigerfish?

For the most part Siamese Tiger Fish go very well with Stingrays. I know that Jeff Rapps has some smaller Tiger fish for sale. Jeff Rapps Go to the very bottom of his stocklist in the MISCELLANEOUS SECTION and you will see
Datnoides undecimradiatus 2-2.5” 18.00 juvenile gold tiger fish from Thailand
3” 24.00 medium gold tiger fish with bold barred pattern

thanks for your help and ideas.

was thinking of maybe putting a few blue dempseys in with the tigerfish.

these tigerfish are agressive? what would they eat?

canm i put them with other cichlids?

Tigerfish can be aggressive, They are very predatory and will eat anything that can fit into there mouths. Juvies will usually only accept live food but you can eventualy get them on market fish or dryed foods. If you get a Tigerfish and plan on mixing them with blue Jack Dempseys I would make sure that they are of similar size or preferably the blue jack be bigger.

They can be mixed with Cichlids but keep away from mixing them with power house Cichlids like Dovii, Midas, and Trimac. Tigerfish mix very well with Snook Cichlids, Uaru, Severums and other Cichlids of similar temperment.
