Since it was 84 out today and my redfoot's RI has been clearing up I decided to bring Sam outside for a little while today.

very nice. question: do you think that there is no commercially prepared diet that is completely sufficient to feed every day and keep the animal healthy? Im interested in getting a red foot but I don't want to make salads everyday. i would rather feed it pellets or something from a can but I hear they aren't great.

Sam gets mazuri tortoise diet once a week in addition to fresh veggies, the salad bit really isn't that bad at all, basically i feed him primarily collards, dandelion greens, green leaf lettuce, and radicchio in addition to occasional fruit like bananas, strawberries (his favorite), blueberries, and cantaloupe. vitamin and calcium supplements are given twice a week. buying all this stuff has even encouraged me to eat healthier
