hey guys, i have recently noticed a few redish lookign worms in my tank.... burring in the sand and climbing the glass... at first i thought it was just panaria ...what do u guys think... ill try and get apic of one if i find another
Anchorworms (Lernaea sp.) are not worms. These are crustaceans that can swim well around the tank but they are found mainly attached on the epidermis of the fish. You can rule out camallanus worms as they are unlikely to be found buried in the substrate. Their red coloration is blood from the fish.DB junkie;2870141; said:Petmountain.com has the bigger bottles.
But if it's worms how would Binox help? PLEASE get some pics. First thought that comes to mind when I hear redish worms is Anchor Worms..... JUST throwing it out there...... I'm definetly no expert, but IF in the remote chance it is Anchor worms it would require a completely different med like Dimilin.

I don't believe it's anchorworm either. From my experience with ponds, I would say it's detritus worms. They really shouldn't be there unless the substrate is extremely dirty and clogged.
