any ideas would be great

hope u can help

one of my carp had a red mark on the back of his dorsal fin and it went away after a week.

Certainly not the sterelet. I would guess you have some kind of disease running through there. It's going to be hard to work on curing it with the sterelet in there. I would suggest taking the effected out and placing them in a QT tank, ad salt in increase temp. Or even use some meds once they are away from the sturgeon.

What are your water parameters? This sounds like septicemia. Do the fish also have red spots on their body (maybe around their heads)? Septicemia is bacterial, and would be treated with Maracyn 1 or 2, but is related to poor water quality, so if you params are good, and always have been that means it's less likely that it is septicemia. Please provide actual numbers.
