Noticed redness near both its pectoral fins.

I have 5 bass in a 180. Each about 4-5 inches. Temp is at 84 with 2 fx6 canisters. Weekly waterchanges.

Any idea what it is and how to treat?

How’s it behaving? Eating? Nitrates under control? Is it a sb pbass? What does the poop look like? Would reduce the temp down to 78 degrees. Add triple sulfa. Keep the water clean and monitor.

Yes, eats like pig. Kinda noticed it was breathing a little quicker than the rest. But that was just during an hour observation yesterday. Hard to catch them pooping.

Forgot to mention I have a small 7" ray is acting normal. Is tripple sulfa filter safe and will it discolor the water?

Wonder if I should move him into a smaller tank to treat

Move it to a smaller tank. Can’t be sure with rays. Won’t discolor anything in the tank.

Ir looks kinda red on the base of all fins
Seperate, lower your temp, salt 3dl per 100L of water. Keep water pristine and monitor would be my first go. If that aint helping then its time for meds IMO.

kno4te kno4te i aint trying to step on your toes but what i said is my go to when having minor trouble:)
