Finally got around to setting up this tank again.Dimensions - 24"(L)x 24"(W) x 16" (H).
Filled it up :

Substrate : Tan river sand with little pebbles

Black background this time.I was too lazy to paint it so I used a black vinyl background.
I'm not filling it to the brim (only 8-10") that leaves 6" of room for terrestrial/semi aquatic plants. For now it's just 2 small vines of pothos. My aunt had a bunch of different 'morphs' of pothos I got a few clippings of this type because I liked the patterns. The larger piece is about 13-16" long now.

I'm using a suction cup to attach it to the glass so only the roots stay submerged.

It seems like the new shoots have weakened after being submerged in water for a few days.

Dead leaves - guava and almond leaves I have found these don't rot as soon as some other types of leaves.

After a few months time(from another tank) :

This big piece of dw will provide a hiding place for the fish. Also got a few twigs I collected (then boiled).

Thanks for dropping by
