I was wondering what is the temperature range for redside dace? Can you also post other dace species temperature requirements because I have always wanted dace.:Pikachu:

Most dace species especially Chrosomus(redbelly daces) and Clinostomus species (redside daces) required high oxygenated waters, which means the daces need to be kept in cooler temperatures and the water must be clean and pristine. They will be fine at the room temperature assuming that it will be around low 70s to mid 70s. Rhinichthys species (blacknose daces) will tolerant a slightly warmer temperatures but still needs to kept in high oxygenated.

What about southern redbelly dace? They are the only dace besides the blacknose dace i can find for sale. Could they work out?

See my post above thank you.

But I read In one of my books that northern redbelly dace can live in up to 80+ degrees. And I can't find an exact temperature range of blacknose dace. I was expecting exact numbers, not somthing like "mid 70". mid 70 could be for All I know 74-76 or even 73-78. Would the blacknose dace be best?

You worry too much! You don't need to be concerned about the specific temperatures. All you need is keep them at mid 70s and not let them get up to 80F because pretty sure the daces will have trouble to cope 80's and they won't be thriving....

The temp only gets to 80 for about 30 minutes during the middle of summer. Also I have an aquarium fan that I could Use.

I just got some southern redbelly dace about a month ago and I keep them in a 75 gallon that I keep in the low to mid 70s in the summer and I keep a heater to keep the temp at 70 during the winter. They are just starting to get their red bellies and they look awesome. I got mine from Zimmermansfish.com, I recommend checking them out.
