Hey gang,
I just joined MFA. I have been keeping fresh water fish for 30 years. Technically I still have a lot to learn.
After asking the store manager all the right questions concerning the redtail cat that caught my eye- the manager gave me all the wrong answers. I had no idea what I was purchasing. I am a responsible keeper but some how this one slipped through. My tank is only 55 gallons. I have a tin foil barb that is 17 years old and has been with me the whole time (10 inches long). I know the RTC will grow big enough to eat my tinfoil. Not to mention that he will soon out grow the tank. I would like to find a good home for the RTC (Free) soon. Please help. My concern is for the animals wellbeing.
If I had more space in my home I would try my hand at keeping a monster fish. Sadly I do not have enough space nor time due to my professional photography studio (not sure the wife would be onboard anyways). I work a lot. If you are in Florida and desire the fish I will hand deliver it. Please reply and let me know.
:help2:
The RTC is approx 10 inches long (he was only two inches when I purchased it)
Thank you.

Wellcome and the best of luck with giving it away!

There is nothing to feel bad about. It'd be irresponsible if you didnt try to do something knowing this problem. Everyone lets a mistake slip sometime. Someone help this responsible owner!

BUMP for this guy!
