ok i am moving to a new house and i will be getting a 1.5 to 2 in redtail and he and 2 2in albino oscars ar going into a 75 gallon tank while the 2000 gallon tank is installed and cycled my ? is how long will the redtail last in the tank before i have to get a custom tank like a 10000 gallon tank any help would be much helpful

I'm confused.

If you're setting up a 2,000 gallon tank, then why would you worry about it?

their growth rate decreases significantly once they reach 12-16" and a 2,000 gallon tank is more than enough.

We all should have such problems.

i have read on the internet how big they get andand i want to make sure the tank is big enough for him or her to be happy

if i were you i would start with 4 inch oscars since rtcs grow fast and the oscars will prob become a snack

Wow, a 2,000 gallon tank!!:WHOA: Very Cool!! Make sure to post pictures once you have it up and running. By the way, I would also add some rays for a tank of that size. Rock-On!!:headbang2 :clap :woot:

Whats the max size a Redtail Cat can get and what size tank would you need for one or two?

wow i wish i hhad ur problem lol. u gotta post pics of that tank

I also would worry about the oscars. The RTC will see themn as a tasty snack in a few months:D . Atleast they aren't very expensive:ROFL:
