How big do Leopard Red-tail Catfish get? They've got one at my LFS for $12, but I've only got a 125 gallon, however I would be interested in growing it out for someone. They also have a tsn for $30. I also have a 650 gallon pool that I could set up in the garage for them when they're bigger(anyone know how long that would take?).

well...ive never heard of this kind but i know an RTC gets to be about 2-3 feet or more.

tsn get 4-5ft and rtc's get to be 5 feet for sure and atleast 90lbs

You'll need a 1000+ gallon pond.

you are looking at 3 ft or so on both... give or take on the both... in home tanks they don't get as big as in the wild

These cats get big. Do a search, there's lots of good info here. There are even 2 stickies in this section on them.

They grow VERY fast. If well fed they can easily grow 1-2" per month. I grew out a pair of RTC x TSN hybrids once and they grew so fast I could literally see a difference in size from week to week.

i hate to see fish dumped by their owners just because they are too big. Make sure you have at least a 1500 gallon pond for these guys or just don't get them.
