hey everyone, i have 2 reedfish in my 90 gallon and theyre just fantastic! My LFS just got in some great looking 4 inch firemouths which happen to be one of my all time favorite cichlids. Do you guys think that in a 90 i could house both ropefish (theyre both about 12-14 inches currently) along with a pair of firemouths? Will i run into big problems when the firemouths breed? I have so much woodwork and rocks in my tank that its hard to find the reedfish unless its feeding time so there's certainly a lot of hiding places. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks :)

Definately. I have a similar combo ( 3 ropefish around 12" and a FM about 4") in a 60 and the FM doesn't even take notice of the ropefish.
Have fun with them :)

The scales on the ropes is pretty danf tough. The Firemouths wouldn't have an easy time doing damage. I think you would be fine as long as you can keep the ropes in the tank.
