Reedfish tank mates

Does anyone have any ideas of reedfish tankmates in a 125 gallon planted tank.

How about butterfly fish

African Butterfly Fish like you suggested could be a good option, other possible tankmates are basically anything that cant fit in its mouth while being peaceful in the process. So aggressive fish like some cichlids are a no no imo. Maybe some lower jaw Bichirs like Polypterus Senegalus or Mokelembembe ? Those are all I can think of but more experienced people will most likely help out soon. What did you have in mind as tankmates ? What type of fish do you like ?

Medium sized (6-8 inch) cichlids would be fine given they aren’t overly aggressive. Smaller polys would be safe.
Large bodied tetras can work (usually too fast to catch).
African butterfly fish is good too.

I really like Gouramis.

Good size gouramis (opaline, blue, gold, even kissing) will be fine. Just stay away from the dwarves.

anything that isnt to aggressive and fits in the tank is an option. Rope fish are so lovely.

i would go african theme you might like some of these:
-butterfly fish (1, more might kill eachother)
-african knifefish (nigri)
-ctenopoma
-congo tetra's
-smaller bichir species (same order as ropeeels)
-tire track eels
-eel catfish (some species get massive, do watch out)
