In a van down by the river
OK I am thinking about taking advantage of the sale petsmart is having right now and buy up 2 120's and 2 150's from them. I can literally get all 4 of these for the same price I would pay for just 2 similar sized reef ready with no hoods and lights and these come with hoods and lights.

I have a 130 reef ready and to be honest I don't see that much advantage over a well designed overflow box setup. I also feel I lose floor space for my fish with my corners pretty much taken by the RR overflows.

Anyway, please present your arguments for or against RR setups so I may make the best possible choice. I may be missing something important that I never dreamed of.

Thanks,

Sam

I will state the obvious...my sump hides my heaters, contains 15 gallons of bio balls, and adds 40 gallons of water to reduce bioload. I never thought about getting into drilled tanks and sumps, but I will never go back. And space lost due to overflow boxes is minimal, not even an issue to me
