Apparently there's a invert killer in my tank but I'm not sure who it could be. Everything is reef safe so I assumed nothing would do anything like this. First my Hawaiian tubeworm had its feathers cut off and then was killed, leaving only the tube. Then my rose bubble anemone was cut in half somehow and shredded up, and I removed it from the tank before the damage was too bad.
As far as fish and inverts go, I have 3 damsels, a psuedochromis, a maroon clown, a watchman goby, a Lawnmower blenny, a purple-tux urchin, a fire shrimp, a sand star, chocolate chip star, and a couple snails and hermits.

Can anyone tell me who's doing this and why?

I had a mantis shrimp tag along on a chunk of live rock that killed $100's in fish and other critters by the time I seen him at night with a flash light. Next project was catching the lil sob. That was my mystery killer. good luck

My money is on the chocolate chip star. In my experience they are not reef safe. Urchins can be bulldozers but i dont think they try to eat thinks but things in there path may be ruined.

Are those the ones that sound like a rock hitting the glass?

I moved the urchin to a fish only tank. And I'll go ahead and move the chocolate chip star too just to be on the safe side. But I'm 90% sure it was the urchin. He's been accidentally destroying things all over the tank as he walks over them. He likes to pick things up (plants, corals, etc) and sometimes he'll rip them apart in the process. So now he's in a tank with only rocks and sand, and three fish. That should be much safer
