I am selling a Reeflo Snapper model external water pump. Flow rate at 0' head is 2600GPH. The reason I am selling for so cheap is that the previous owner/genius cemented threaded PVC fittings to the Volute pump cover inlet AND outlet (see photos below).
You can buy a replacement Volute cover for $40 or work with the existing plumbing.

I am firm on the price. This pump retails for over $200, so if I can't sell it for $70 I will store it. I will consider trades for submersable pump(s). Let me know what you have.

Location: Alameda, CA 94501

Thanks.

Alex

I have no idea how old the pump is. The guy I bought it from was the second owner, but he never set it up on the tank (240G). He said he didn't like wet/dry systems so he used canisters- 2 XP4s. I was looking to sell locally. Not looking to ship.

The fact that I'm not willing to ship probably makes answering this question moot, but I was looking for a submersible with at least 1100 GPH at 4' head or 2 smaller pumps at 550GPH each.

The intake has 2" threaded adapter with a pipe glued into it and the outlet has 1.5" with pipe glued into that.

Answering these questions made me realize that it would be shady of me to sell this pump without being 100% sure that it works. I have no way of testing to see if it works (I can't test it without setting it up on a system). I don't want to run the risk of selling someone a defective pump (especially if you go out and spend money on the replacement volute).

I'm going to order the Volute pump cover and test it to make sure it works. If I find that it works and I still rather go with submersible pumps I will contact you. I should have thought this out better before posting. Again, truly sorry to waste your time. bOOsten aUdi has first dibs, then another member that sent me a PM, then Flash.
