So, I want to get back into fish keeping, and I am specifically looking at bichirs, as I have had them before, have a little bit of experience with them, and they are my favorites.

Just wanted to make sure I still remembered everything I need to know about these guys.

So first of all, I want to start with a couple of Senagals, they’re more active (at least in my experience), and cheaper in my area, plus, they’re just awesome.

I want to know how many senegals I can keep in a 72g for life, (maybe a bigger tank on down the road), along with a CAE. I know I want at least 2, but Is it possible to keep more without problems arising?

Anything you can offer to help refresh/jog my mind/memory about these awesome little guys? Standard temps, favorite foods, etc etc etc…

Thanks guys for any info and help..

2 will work in a 72, wont the cae suck on their slime coat though

Not sure, I had one with a Del a while back and he ignored him, if I see any (lol) sucking going on, I’ll remove the CAE...

Just want something to help control algae, I know proper water maintenance and not overfeeding/removing any excess food helps reduce algae growth a lot, but I just want a little extra help... I remember a while back some people told me about Apple Snails not attaching to the slime coat, but they’re rare I guess in my area.
