Hello everyone i currently have an 80 gallon tank with:
a 5 inch stars and stripes pufferfish
a 1.5 inch clownifish
a 2.5 inch sailfin tang
a 1.5 inch blue damsel
I am currently thinking about getting a regal angelfish, I know they are hard to keep becasue of feeding frozens, but how hard is it realy?
I have had some problems lately though i had a lionfish and an eel die D:
so waht would be a good size regal angel to get and how hard would it be to get to eat frozens?

regals are one of those fish best left for experienced hobbyist they are a real pain to get proper nutrition to and it may be better to find another fish instead of wasting money on a fish that will most likely die.

Wow that was brutaly honnest haha, I would say if you want one then do the reasearch, read just about everything you can find on it, and if you still feel like you want it then go for it, also remember that if you start feeding one fish special/better food chances are you will have to feed all your fish that food as they will probably grab at the good stuff wile you try to feed your regal.

I hate telling fellow hobbiest that something cannot be done, but this is something that will most likely not work. 80 gallons is not really a whole lot to make these fish feel at home. Nutritional value is huge in regals, well most angels actually. Like tangs, there growth will be horrible if not feed enough/properly. If you are thinking about getting a regal, It may work better for you if you by a medium to larger sized one. for the most part, these fish are acustom to eating larger portions of nori and other offered foods. They also tend to be a bit more on the hardy side, however like a moorish idol, there are no guarentees. Good luck.
