So I bought this large cichlid a while ago to kind of cull the madness that was going on in my tank. He's pretty big, and quickly made all the fighting stop. My issue? He's ugly. He looks like a normal fish with a yellow stripe. I'll get a picture when I'm on break. Guess I just wanted to share my frustration :(

I know the feeling. I have a 90 gallon african tank and the ugly albinos keep breeding. Now I have @ 15 of these varying size ugly albino peach colored cichlids running around my tank.
Why is it the ugly ones keep have babies but the the 10 or 15 great looking fish give me nothing????

I just got this guy today bit my fish won't leave him alone. Its been over an hour and he's still cowering at the top of the tank. Am I missing something? I dint want him to get hurt. I'll post a picture of the full tank in a minute. uploadfromtaptalk1343768800328.jpg

I'd add more rocks and caves, it'll confuse your other cichlids and they should forget hes even there for at least a little while and it may even solve the problem

Just rearranged everything. Took fish out and everything. Now he's a behind the filter fish. Just like the one I brought back to get him. Beginning to think its futile

My blue johanni is dead set on chasing him all day. Didn't skip a beat. Starting to show nipped fins. Thinking I might come back from work to a wasted thirty bucks
