Howdy,

I just did my annual inspection. They ran fine, but visual inspection revealed that a Duracell battery started to leak.

Just thought I'd post this gentle reminder...

Good reminder! We replace our 9v batteries in our smoke detector's once a year and usually time it for when we do the daylight savings time change. This might just be a good practice to change out these batteries too at the same time.

Not to sound like an idiot ,but knock on wood I have not needed this equipment, but what type of back up air pumps do you use ?

Howdy,

I have Silent Air B11. You insert two D-cell batteries that can power the decent air pump for a whole day. Then plug the pump into a power outlet. It does not pump as long as it's getting electricity from the wall outlet. Once the power goes out, the pump kicks in.

A very simple, reliable, and cheap peace of mind.
